These machines were built for reliability, simplicity, and utility during Britain\u2019s Cold War era, where the AFS prepared to fight fires and pump water in the event of a nuclear attack.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"883\">This example retains much of its authentic AFS character, complete with its <strong data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"633\">military green paintwork<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"656\">fire extinguisher<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"676\">saddlebags<\/strong>, just as it would have been equipped in service.
